Star Citizen Alpha Patch 4.0

Alpha Patch 4.0 has been released to all backers!  Patch should now show: VERSION 4.0.0-EPTU.9470730.

Characters in this new environment have been built from Long Term Persistence(LTP) data.
Currently with LTP, certain player states such as personal hangar layout, custom characters, and in-game purchased consumables are not saved between releases which will cause some items to be lost in the next update.

Known Issues

  • PU – Stanton – Audio / Locations – While in elevator carriage attached to hangar, you can hear the sound from other players’ hangars
  • PU – MultiSystem – Locations – NPE / Vehicles / Quantum Travel – Some orbital markers around Stanton and Pyro sends player into wrong direction when they QT to them
  • PU – Multisystem – Locations / Inventory / Actor – Local and Personal Inventory may disappear when force respawning (Workaround: Force Respawn again)
  • PU – Locations / Quantum Travel – Pyro V – Orbital Markers above Pyro V may path through the planet, not appearing as “Obstructed”, causing critical ship components to be destroyed
  • PU – Pyro – Rundown Station (R&R) – Multiple Locations – Locations / Physics / Vehicles – Players flying in the vicinity may explode consistently at random
  • PU – Medical Insurance Terminal / UI – Regeneration kiosk UI does not update after transferring imprint
  • PU – Rundown Stations (R&R) – Locations / UI / Shopping Kiosk – Delivery location when purchasing any item is missing
  • PU – Actor – Inventory – UI / Interactions – Helmets can’t be dragged to equip when carrying/holding the helmet in the hands of the player to their head as the port will be missing
  • PU – Actor – Personal Inventory / Storage Access – Loot Box / Armor – Interactions / PIT Wheel – Helmets that are carried then dropped via PIT menu will disappear/become lost
  • PU – FOIP / VOIP – Audio – Players cannot hear other players through any audio channel
  • PU – Stanton – Multiple Locations – Transit / Network – Transit will intermittently desync off course
  • PU – Hostility not being wiped by QT

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed – Multivehicle – Quantum Travel – Nested vehicles are left behind when transitioning authority boundaries during Quantum Travel (STARC-145688)
  • Fixed – Locations / AI – NPCs overspawning gamewide (STARC-146073)
  • Fixed – PU – Pyro – Contested Zones (CZ) – Ghost Arena – Art / Locations / Interactables – The Wasteland and The Crypt Keycards do not unlock their corresponding reward doors (STARC-143701)
  • Fixed – PU – Mining / Mineable Composition – Rock with Silicon is available for Mining and when extracted produces no material (STARC-145671)
  • Fixed – Multivehicle – PU/AC – Vehicles / hit registration – Players with high ping will experience high TTK and phantom hits even after weapon fire has stopped (STARC-145046)
  • Fixed – PU – Pyro – Asteroid Bases – Locations / UI – Asteroid Bases airlocks are not cycling (STARC-144680)
  • Fixed – Crusader Hercules Starlifter – ALL VARIANTS – PU – Vehicle / Ramp – When the Ramp is Opened, the Starlifter shift off balance (STARC-146453)
  • Fixed – PU – Actor – Personal Inventory / Storage Access – Loot Boxes / Armor – Items cannot be interacted with after being transferred from local storage to an actor’s hand
  • Fixed – Multivehicle – Pu- Vehicles – Turrets – Unable to target vehicles in turrets
  • Further fixes for Players encountering “Repositioning Player” messages
