Star Citizen Alpha 3.17.1-EPTU.8054391 Playtest Information

Greetings Avocados!

Today we have a big one! This year’s Fleet Week is in Orison and contains a new dynamic mission that has players doing FPS combat around platforms in orison! We don’t want to give much detail here about these missions to let you all experience it as as a new player would but just be aware the mission takes place inside Orison!

We plan on running this playtest TONIGHT for 4 hours!

We will be opening up the EPTU build tonight with our 3.17.1-EPTU.8054391 branch which will have the Fleet Week halls available with the mission opening up at 4pm CDT!

Couple of known issues on the mission

There is a high chance the mission will not complete when the objective is finished.
Once the player has eliminated all the AI on an Island, the “Clear all remaining NineTails forces from this platform.” objective does not complete
The Brushwood to Hartmoore island Shuttle stops before reaching its destination which Blocks players from entering the Shuttle
Shuttle from Orison to Easy will double up / teleport which can cause player deaths
Elevator on Brushwood Platform does not appear when called (would require using a ship to fly up to the platform instead when this happens)

Instructions for the Test

The Dynamic event playtest will occur on the EPTU US servers in Orison and last approximately 4 hours. (4-8pm CDT) We may have to restart the mission or servers at certain points due to the known issues above without much notice. We don’t plan on having this build out for much longer than the playtest itself so it may shut down shortly after the playtest!
