Note: This patch does not contain all of the intended features, which will be added iteratively to the notes as they become available. Additionally, some features may be implemented in a partial state and as such are not ready for testing. When those features reach a playable state they will be detailed on the notes and added to the “Testing Focus”. Please issue council all issues related to those in testing focus and in general gameplay.
Current cloud tech is still in active development and not yet final. There’s ongoing work on SDF occlusion which should help alleviate the graphical artifacting (visual dots in the clouds). Additionally, we are working towards having local VFX for the clouds (similar to the gas clouds around rest stops) which will make a big difference in overall quality.
Testing Focus
- Crusader
- Orison Landing Zone
- Law System v2: Surrender
- Power Management v2 (Capacitor Gameplay)
- Limited ships in build: Aurora MR, Mustang Alpha, Gladius, 300i, Vanguard Warden, F7C, F7CM, Retaliator, Hammerhead, Arrow, Buccaneer
In this build we have made Orison the default spawn location as well as temporarily enabled the ability to always select a new spawn when joining the PU.
Known Issues
- Gas Clouds on Crusader appear to have moving graphical artifacts that appear as dots. Current clouds are still in development and not final. See note at the top of patch notes.
- The Crusader Planet LOD is very abrupt when transitioning from Daymar to Olisar distances
- Large framerate drops in most areas of Orison
- The Anvil Arrow display in the Plaza suffers distortions in the display, and the ship sticks out
- Collision missing on railing near Discovery Center’s Transit Platform
- ReplaceMe balls can be seen on various consoles in the hospital lobby in Orison
- ReplaceMe ball can be seen near transit platform in Orison
- Players can fly ships into areas with no collision at the main concourse of the Spaceport in Orison
- Using QT from Port Olisar to Yela will cause the QT Marker for PO to vanish. Then using QT to Comm Array ST2-55 will cause QT to travel toward the sun
- Ship Scanners/Gameplay – During intense high speed combat scanners do not ID hostile targets fast enough
- ‘Find Match’ button is greyed out and cannot be clicked in Arena Commander for all modes but Freeflight
- Missions do not recognize players entering zone and AI are unresponsive or not visible to player during missions
- Intense fog can be seen in docking port interior at all rest stops with docking
- The Player has no Collision when they are Manning the Mining Turret of the ROC-DS preventing damage from Weapons Fire
- There is flashing that occurs intermittently when viewing the VMA in the MobiGlas at locations with environmental lighting
- Emotes do not work via chat or PIT
- Motion Blur effect doesnt disable or turn off when the option is turned off
Feature Updates
Locations
- Further Performance Optimizations and polish pass on Orison Landing zone LODs, assets, and lighting
Gameplay
Power Management and Ship weaponry balance pass
- Significantly increased ammo counts on ship ballistic weapons, S1 to S4 cannons projectile velocity slowed down, but greater DPS (more useful against larger targets, less against smaller), all scatterguns now slower with a much reduced range. Some ship default loadouts have changed and replaced scatter guns on turrets. Regen pool and capacitor load pool adjusted for P52, Aurora, Mustang, and 100 series.
Law and Prison updates
- Removed the trespass zones from underground facilities. Destroying a party member’s empty vehicle no longer results in a crime. Updated the prison code entry interface to prevent it from resetting the code on failed attempts to stop a bug that would make it no longer accept codes. Crime for Assaulting a security officer should no longer be given outside of a monitored zone. Knock-outs no longer kill.
Bug Fixes
- “Stow” prompt should no longer be missing from commodity items

- NPCs should no longer perform a chicken dance when drinking while at the bar in Orison
