Star Citizen Alpha 3.18.0 PTU.8373877 Patch Notes

Alpha Patch VERSION 3.18.0-PTU.8373877 has been released to the PTU, and is now available to test!

It is strongly recommended that players delete their USER and Shader folders for the Public client after patching, particularly if you start encountering any odd character graphical issues or crash on loading. The USER folder can be found (in default installations) at C:Program FilesRoberts Space IndustriesStarCitizenPTU. The Shader folders can be found here C:Users%username%AppDataLocalStar Citizen.

Known Issues

  • RSI Constellation Multivariant – Stanton – Vehicles / Ships / Docking – The snub fighter lacks interaction prompts to enter it, making it unusable
  • Wallace Klim is missing from the drug lab in Grim Hex
  • Looted Ammo Clips Drop Off Player
  • Multivehicle – Audio – Missing Audio/SFX with QT travel
  • Scanning not showing advanced statistics and details
  • Transit – Elevators and Trams are “Jittery” during transit of Player Character
  • Salvaging – Some ship wreckages erroneously give “No Material” text and do not let you salvage
  • Cargo – Performance – Fully loaded C2 landed at Area 18 results in Slow Framerates or Crash
  • Vehicles/IFCS – When flying near another ship, ship seems to hit an invisible box that kicks it in random directions
  • Cargo – Performance – High capacity cargo vessels, when loaded, can cause a severe performance drop on both client and server
  • Actor Feature / Law – Respawn – If a player is placed into Klescher after being rescued with a crime stat, the player is respawned in the facility still incapacitated
  • Breach & Steal – Design/Missions/Locations – The target Reclaimer “October Rising” will disappear when you get very close to it, makin the mission impossible.
  • Ship / Commodity Trading / Cargo Inventory – Selling some of the cargo while the vehicle is stored cause the cargo to show at max inventory capacity
  • Selling – Commodity Kiosk / Cargo – Large amounts of cargo sold at once will cause the transaction to fail the cargo will be taken and no money will be granted
  • Law & Criminality – Commodities / Cargo – Stolen Cargo does not behave as such and can be sold as legal cargo if the ship with the cargo is stored
  • Locations – Transit – Elevators – Players can fall through Elevators
  • Rest Stops (R&R) / Rundown Station (R&R) – Design / Transit / Location – The player is unable to call elevator from hangar interiors

  • Adjusted M50 atmospheric tuning based on racing performance feedback to bring it more in line with other racers

Bug Fixes

This build has had many extra fixes in for Trams in landing zones to help them detect if they are about to collide or outright stop to help them not get stuck. If they do happen to get stuck we have put in extra logic to detect them being stopped and will force them to reset position to default if it detects trams not moving. This is temporary and will be immersion breaking for now if it does happen but this is a temporary workaround incase issues still occur.

  • Fixed – Kruger P-72 Archimedes Emerald – Ship / Paint – The top front section of the P-72 is white as the default non-emerald paint
  • Fixed – Hurston – Rivers – Planet Tech / Graphics / Locations – Walking in shallow water makes the area darken
  • Fixed – Multivehicle – UI / Vehicles / Mining – Mining UI in turret is small / low resolution and hard to read
  • Fixed – Vehicles / Controls – Vehicle may be unable to liftoff from pad after retrieved from ASOP
  • Fixed – Reputation / Delphi – Missions / Mercenary – Security Contractor Evaluation is not re-offered upon failure
  • Fixed – Mining / UI – The gems of Hadanite appear as Aphorite when hovered over in players inventory
  • Fixed – Security Post Kareah – Mission Content / Art – Spawn closets have visareas when opening
  • Fixed – Multivehicle – Ships / Vehicles / Cargo – After snapping to the cargo grid, RMC commodity crates cannot be detached again with the tractor beam
  • Fixed – Aegis Reclaimer – Ships – Physics / Design – The top airlock of the Reclaimer lacks appropriate collision and can allow players to fall through to access ship
  • Fixed – Multi-ship / Ships / Vehicles – Kiosk / ASOP Terminal – UI – Some ships that can hold cargo will show a cargo capacity of ‘0’
  • Fixed – EXPLOIT – Network – Desynchronization / UI – Party members who die in ship combat can become undetectable to other each other on foot or in vehicles
  • Fixed – UI – ASOP Terminal – Ships / Vehicles – The designated hangar does not display on the ASOP Terminal after retrieving a ship
  • Fixed – UI – VMA / MobiGlas – All ships are blurred on the VMA
  • Fixed – Ship / Commodity Trading / Cargo Inventory – Selling some of the cargo while the vehicle is stored cause the cargo to show at max inventory capacity

  • Fixed – Hull Scraping – UI / Vehicles – Derelict wrecks have incorrect highlight colours when targeted in salvage mode
  • Fixed – Locations – ArcCorp / Crusader – Area18 / Orison – Core Tech / Transit Systems – The Trams are out of sync with the station timers, causing trams to overlap or not appear on time
