Star Citizen Alpha Patch 3.24.0

Alpha Patch 3.24.0 has been released to Evocati, and is now available to test! Patch should now show: VERSION 3.24.0-PTU.9236885.

Characters in this new environment will be built from LTP data so items such as medpens, ammo, rentals, and refinery jobs will be lost.

The current build is under NDA (Talking about features and testing is allowed but no sharing of game video, screenshots, audio, files, or accounts outside of Evocati)
Please log out then back in on the issue council site to see the Evocati environment there. Please make sure to only select the Evocati 3.24.0 environment when creating IC reports while the builds are Evocati only

Please monitor etf-testing-chat in spectrum for updates and testing instructions.

Note: This patch does not contain all of the intended features, which will be added iteratively to the notes as they become available. Additionally, some features may be implemented in a partial state and as such are not ready for testing.  When those features reach a playable state they will be detailed on the notes and added to the “Testing Focus”.  Please issue council all issues related to those in testing focus and in general gameplay.

Known Issues

  • PU – Personal Hangars – Locations – Personal Hangars do not open when contacting ATC to take off or land at a destination (High Chance)
  • Main Menu – Add Friends – Add Friend’s search feature is not displaying results and has a “Service Unavailable” notice – Repro 100%
  • Stanton – Locations / Performance – Item Bank / Freight Elevator – Frame rate will dramatically drop if players own many items
  • PU – Cargo / UI / Locations – Freight Manager / Storage Access – When a filter dropdown check box is ticked selecting another one will cause the previous ticked box to become empty – Repro 100%
  • PU – Stanton – Graphics – Flashing artifacting when looking in certain directions
  • PU – Stanton – ASOP / Locations – Retrieving a Hull C at locations without a docking port will display ‘unable to handle your request at this time’
  • PU – Stanton – ASOP / Fleet Manager / UI – ASOP Terminals fade to black when accessed after delivering a vehicle
  • PU – Stanton – Security Post Kareah – Locations / AI – AI are missing inside of Kareah, only outside Guard AI spawn
  • PU – FOIP / VOIP – Audio – Players cannot hear other players through any audio channel
  • Turrets can get stuck firing nowhere near their target
  • PU – Stanton – Multiple Locations – Transit / Network – Transit will intermittently desync off course
  • Origin Jumpworks 300series – All RSI website Customized Variants – PU – Vehicles/ UI – 300 series that are customized through RSI website for additional flair items does not have any flight HUD/UI

  • PU – Actor / UI / Locations – Area18 / MobiGlas / Map – Various parts of Area18 Central can’t be routed to via mobiGlas Map based on player location

Gameplay

  • Master Modes Atmo Flight Controller Retuning

Made further atmospheric flight controller re-tunings for Valkyrie, Raft, Spirit A1/C1, Star Runner, Starfighter, Starlifter and Variants, Buccaneer, Caterpillar, Starfarer, and Cutlass & Varriants. Made additional aerodynamic updates to Eclipse, Gladius, Hammerhead, Reclaimer, Redeemer, and Avenger Stalker to enable these ships to yaw more in atmo.

  • Ship Cockpit Camera Polish

Ship 3rd Person Camera Updated with smoother vibration, along with the same affect changes applied to cockpit to reduce HUD movement.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue causing FPS AI to target and fire at players through buildings instead of attempting to gain Line of Sight
  • Fixed – Origin 400i – PU – Vehicles / Art – The maneuvering thrusters on the 400i are rotated perpendicular to their intended position (STARC-107815)
  • Fixed – PU – Kiosk – Storage Access / Inventory – If a player force closes / disconnects the game client while taking out/withdrawing items from storage, the items will be lost that were being withdrawn (STARC-118540)
  • Fixed – PU – Stanton – Landing Zone (LZ) / Distribution Center (DC) – Art / Locations – External elevator doors are failing to open when elevators carrying players arrive at persistent hangars within the PU
  • Fixed – PU – Stanton – UI – Oversized active Armistice Zone icon (STARC-108910)
  • Fixed – PU – Stanton – Locations / Actor – Interaction – Quitting the client can break the “Exit” bed interaction (STARC-118511)
  • Fixed – PU – Stanton – Locations / ASOP / Fleet Manager / ATC – Players cannot retrieve ships from ASOP terminals at Orison, Seraphim or New Babbage.
  • Fixed – PU – Locations / UI / Transit – Personal Hangar destination changes when elevator is called by another player (STARC-118504)
