Star Citizen Alpha Patch 4.0

Alpha Patch 4.0 has been released to all backers!  Patch should now show: VERSION 4.0.0-EPTU.9462348.

Characters in this new environment have been built from Long Term Persistence(LTP) data.
Currently with LTP, certain player states such as personal hangar layout, custom characters, and in-game purchased consumables are not saved between releases which will cause some items to be lost in the next update.

Known Issues

  • PU – Multisystem – Locations / Inventory / Actor – Local and Personal Inventory may disappear when force respawning (Workaround: Force Respawn again)
  • PU – Rundown Stations (R&R) – Locations / UI / Shopping Kiosk – Delivery location when purchasing any item is missing
  • PU – Pyro – Rundown Station (R&R) – Multiple Locations – Locations / Physics / Vehicles – Players flying in the vicinity may explode consistently at random
  • PU – Medical Insurance Terminal / UI – Regeneration kiosk UI does not update after transferring imprint
  • PU – Stanton – ASOP / Locations – Personal Hangar – Retrieving a ship results in “We are unable to deal with your request at this time” but does not timeout fail
  • PU – Actor – Inventory – UI / Interactions – Helmets can’t be dragged to equip when carrying/holding the helmet in the hands of the player to their head as the port will be missing
  • PU – FOIP / VOIP – Audio – Players cannot hear other players through any audio channel
  • PU – Stanton – Multiple Locations – Transit / Network – Transit will intermittently desync off course
  • PU – Loot Box/Armor/Inventory – Helmet dropped via PIT menu will disappear
  • PU – Hostility not being wiped by QT

– Instanced Hangar Entity Culling Polish (Should help with some, but not all, Audio overlap between hangars)
– Unattended Ship Cleanup Updates to help Clean Up Abandoned Ships in Cities, Spaceports, and Jump Points
– Added more Aggressive Entity Cleanup of Dropped Medical Gowns
– Further Networking Stability Optimizations

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed – PU – Server Meshing / Subdivision / Locations / Vehicles – When client transitions from one DGS to another in a personal vehicle they are given trespassing warning (STARC-103169)
  • Fixed – PU – Inventory – Personal Inventory will stop working and will not be accessible to the player (STARC-145512)
  • Fixed – PU – Mining – Ship Mining UI / Ships / Vehicles – Some Asteroids do not have a Scan result info in Mining Mode (STARC-131618)
  • Fixed – PU – Missions – Mission target ships can spawn inside asteroids (STARC-81344)
  • Fixed – PU – Stanton – Brentworth Care Center – Locations / Lightings / GFX – Every floor in Brentworth Care Center has no lights on the entrance going to the wards area (STARC-144649)
  • Fixed – Multivehicle – Arena Commander – Vehicles – Offline Arena commander ship thrusters are non functional (STARC-145959)
  • Fixed – Stanton – PU/Pyro – Jump Points – Audio / Ships / Vehicles / Game Code – The Jump Point Tunnel Music Continues Playing after Exit
  • Fixed – RSI Polaris – PU – Vehicles / Design – The carriage of the front elevator clips through the ship exterior when used
  • Fixed flight controller G-meters pointed the wrong way
